Archive Proof A print representative of the edition, saved by the workshop or publisher. An unnumbered print kept by the workshop or printer as a record of the edition. |

Artist's Book A work of art that assumes a book or paginated format. It may be editioned, or unique. An artist's book may contain text, or be strictly visual. |

Artist’s Proof A print or prints outside of the numbered edition. In general the artist’s proof is the means by which the artist may follow the development of the print. The artist’s proof is usually inscribed A.P. and numbered consecutively if there is more than one. |

Bleed Print A print in which the image or inked surface extends to the edge of the paper. |

Blindstamp The identifying mark of an artist, studio, or publisher that is embossed into a print or work on paper. |
