Gil Dellinger

A graduate of the San Francisco State University M.A. program, Gil Dellinger became a full professor at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where he taught courses in drawing and painting. He received the Distinguished Faculty Award for professional contributions and teaching excellence in 1990, and the Everhart Teacher/Scholar Award in 1995. Gil retired from teaching in 2000.

He has been appointed as a Signature Member and Master Pastelist of the Pastel Society of America, and has been represented in over 40 exhibitions across the country including the 1997 Forbes Magazine Exhibition in New York (Bronze Award recipient). In 2004Gil was co-curator of and exhibitor in From Sea to Shining Sea hosted by the Haggin Museum, Fresno, California.

His landscapes record the luminous colors in land and sky, dramatizing their appearance by simplifying forms and emphasizing the relationship between light and shadow.
